We are a diverse group of individuals focused on helping the area's leading businesses manage their property and casualty insurance risks.As an - Accounting/ Bookkeeper - you will -provide professional accounting and financial services, as well as be part of the guidance and strategic planning in a fast growing and expanding company, in a leadership and management capacity. - - This position is responsible for all the daily financial and accounting systems of the company, including the management and administration of many operation aspects of the company.Responsibilities - - Critical thinker who desires to be a key leader in the company through leadership skills, fundamental involvement in all aspects of the business and serving as a liaison, resource, mentor and team member to the entire staff. - - - Develop and teach technical skills to help others grow in their positions and expand the company. - - - Manage and direct all accounting activities including all financial statements, daily transactions, controls, banking, compliance with all state and federal agencies, and preparing reports for Managing Partner and home office inquiries for specific reporting. - - - - Develop, oversee and implement improvements and procedures in the operation and management of the main operating system, (EPIC) and help streamline and improve the performance of all personnel by developing better procedures, controls, reporting and ease of transaction for employees and clients alike. - - Establish and maintain accounting controls over assets, liabilities and expenses and oversee the development and improvements in operating efficiencies, forecasting and developing budgets as well as providing critical thinking necessary to build and expand the business. - - Manage all banking relations including accounts, deposits, A/P's, A/R's, ACH and wire transactions. - - Oversee personnel including monitoring and approving payroll, PTO and reporting and maintaining accurate and timely HR reports and records. - - - Oversee the IT operations needs of the company and manage IT resources including third party resources, hardware, software, and the security/access of the system. - - - Qualifications - - Bachelor's Degree Required. - - - - Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting, Financial Management or a related technical discipline. - - - - Proficient in Excel; experience with Epic is highly beneficial.Equal Opportunity Employment We're an - equal opportunity employer .
