Position Summary:Catalent Pharma Solutions in Morrisville, NC is hiring a Senior Cost Accountant for the Finance group. The Senior Cost Accountant will be responsible for leading Financial Planning and Analysis functions for our Manufacturing facility including project Cost Accounting, ensuring accuracy, functional accountability, and data integrity.This is a full-time role position: Monday - Friday, 8AM-5PM.Catalent is a global, high-growth, public company and a leading partner for the pharmaceutical industry in the development and manufacturing of new treatments for patients worldwide. • Lead and coordinate forecasts, annual budget, and strategic plans as well as provide month end analysis by establishing deliverable timelines, financial models, and metrics to support and analyze initiatives
• Monitor key business targets including revenue, Contribution Margin, SG&A and EBITDA as well as asset financial metrics including ROA, ROI, IRR.
• Work closely with Manufacturing and Engineering functions to develop standard costing and Manufacturing Production for Project Accounting in ERP system
• Set Standard Cost for Inventory Items, routings, and costed Bill of materials per Corporate policy
• Integrate data analytics into the business for decision-making; anticipate and identify key variables that predict business performance and recommend process improvements to reduce costs
• Lead physical inventories and help review cycle counts to ensure proper internal controls are followed
• Assist in analyzing and preparing inventory obsolescence reserves, working closely with quality to recommend inventory adjustments and supplier management
• Support the finance team in establishing robust inventory policies, procedures, and financial systems to ensure the quality and integrity of inventories
• Prepare and submit inventory reconciliations for Raw Materials, WIP, and Finished Goods Inventories, including PPV and Standard Costing

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related is required
  • 3 or more years of general accounting or related experience is required
  • Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system is highly preferred
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and basic computer functions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as learn and adapt quickly
  • Must be able to collaborate with internal and external customers
