Full-time Pay: $21.00 per hour with scheduled salary increases at
anniversary of hire date. Schedule: 9:45am-6:15pm. Position
requires varied shifts, includes most weekends and holidays, and
occasional inclement weather hours. Who We Are Society for the

through the adoption process. Shares behavior and medical
information about specific pets in order to match them with
adopters. Interacts with potential adopters in a conversational way
while processing adoptions and providing pet care education.
Provides excellent customer service through phone, email, and in
person during all interactions with the public, including
conversations about pet adoption, pet retention and rehoming, and
scheduling adoption processes and pet meetings. Processes adoption
paperwork in a timely manner while maintaining accuracy. Interacts
with and is comfortable handling a variety of pets. Assists with
disease control and cleaning of areas throughout the day as needed.
Works closely with the animal care team to help ensure timely pet
meetings. Ensures daily tasks are completed accurately. Essential
Functions: Interacts with the public via phone, email, and in
person Helps support a positive work environment for staff and
volunteers Completes daily tasks, reports, and checklists as
required Helps ensure that adopters are placed with a pet who is a
good match for their needs and lifestyle Assists with cleaning of
designated work areas Interacts with and comfortable with handling
a variety of pets Helps ensure the safety of all employees,
visitors and volunteers Treats all pets & people humanely and
promotes an environment of kindness Qualification Requirements: To
perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to

Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience using
database, CRM, or shelter management systems (e.g., Salesforce or
similar platforms) to enter, track, and maintain records as part of
daily responsibilities High degree of professionalism and customer
service Passion for the mission and core values of the SPCA of Wake
County Able to meet physical requirements of the job as described
below Must have a positive attitude and collaborative,
team-oriented spirit Must be high energy, self-starting and able to
