An educational opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support students in an elementary school setting in Lexington, NC. This position involves working onsite with students in a specialized program focusing on behavior, academics, and social-emotional skills. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and deliver individualized education plans for a caseload of seven students, kindergarten through fifth grade. - Support students in the BASE Program, addressing behavioral, academic, and social-emotional development. - Collaborate with instructional assistants and school staff to create a supportive learning environment. - Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of students, including those on modified school days and one homebound student. - Maintain accurate records and communicate progress with parents and school personnel. Qualifications and Experience: - Proven experience as a Special Education classroom case manager. - Ability to effectively collaborate with a team including instructional assistants. - Strong skills in managing diverse learning needs with individualized education plans. - Familiarity with behavior management strategies and social-emotional learning supports. - Commitment to supporting students with varying academic and behavioral challenges. Position Details: - Location: Elementary school in Lexington, NC. - Duration: Contract through May 29, 2026. - Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, onsite. - Caseload includes seven K-5 students in a specialized BASE environment.
