The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change. -Your Responsibilities -As the -Automation and Autonomy Staff Engineer -for -John Deere -located in -Cary, North Carolina, you will: -

  • Be responsible as project lead to design and develop automation and autonomy solutions for multi-vehicle platforms. -
  • Be responsible for coordinating with a cross functional team including partner/ collaborative resources to ensure Automation & Autonomy requirements are determined and executed. In the near term this position will be focused on the delivery of Golf Autonomy
  • As project lead, determine and deliver product requirements to deliver portfolio projects leveraging both organic and inorganic -technologies.Additionally, you will... -
    • Coordinate and prioritize project work and provide guidance and coaching as a matrix manager
    • Work with a cross functional team to deliver product on set -milestones
    • Collaborate with Turf & Compact Utility (T&CU) and enterprise resources (including other automation and autonomy teams) to align with architectural strategies
    • Support in field evaluations working closely with Project Verification and Validation (PV&V) , marketing, and product support
    • Travel domestically and internationally, up to 25%, collaborating on projects
    • Support the execution and development of the automation and autonomy -roadmap. - -VISA Sponsorship is NOT Available for this position. - -What Skills You Need -
      • 7 or more years of experience in Product Design
      • 3 or more years of experience with automation and autonomous systems for automotive, trucking, off-highway, power sports, or other mobile equipment applications
      • Experience with implementing product to production, including experience with Windchill/SAP or similar tools.
      • Knowledge in engineering principles, theory and practice, systems engineering tools.
      • 4 or more years of experience in 3D modeling
      • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to break complex opportunities/issues/obstacles down into executable action items.
      • Ability to travel 25% domestically and -internationally.What Makes You Stand Out---------------------
