This will be the largest end-to-end cell culture CDMO provider in North America. The new site will offer end-to-end solutions -to our customers looking to manufacture biopharmaceuticals in the US. In addition to drug substance manufacture, it will also -provide -automated fill-finish and assembly, packaging, and labeling services. The new state-of-the-art facility is located in Holly Springs, North Carolina, United States.The EPCM cost engineer will play a key role in managing cost, analyzing trends, and providing insight to monthly project cost forecasts. This role will work directly with the EPCM partner on tracking cost, coding PO/Subcontract awards, and cost reporting. - Coordination between earned value, invoicing, and cost reporting will be verified by the cost lead. - All cost reporting to stakeholders will be reviewed and approved by the cost lead prior to submission.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct RFA reviews for budget, coding, forecasting
  • Provide EPCM forecasting updates to stakeholders
  • Develop reports of cost, cash flows, change control, contingency and risk analysis
  • Monitor expenditures for labor, direct equipment & material purchases
  • Estimate scope changes
  • Provide EPCM oversight supporting cash-flow development, forecasting, budgets, commitments
  • Drive EPCM accrual development
  • Support finance partner in developing asset lists, measuring FY spend, and verifying accruals/invoices
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand risks and opportunities around owner's costsRequirements:
    • BA/BS in Engineering, Construction, Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
    • 10+ years cost management experience
    • Direct experience with construction required; experience within life sciences is preferred
    • Knowledge and experience with EPCM Contracts
    • Previous 'Large Scale' ($500M+) construction startup experience
    • 'Light' schedule experience preferred
    • Understanding of Earned Vale Management
    • Proficiency with MS Office and the ability to learn new technology quickly
    • Strong business acumen, good judgement, and excellent critical thinking skills
    • Experience working on teams within a complex matrix environment
    • Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentFDBN works with technical data, technology and materials that are subject to U.S. export laws and regulations. This position will require access to technical data, technology and source code that is controlled under U.S. export laws and regulations, including but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations at 22 C.F.R. Parts 120 - 130 and Export Administration Regulations in 15 C.F.R. Part 730 - 774, as may be amended. To conform to these laws and regulations, applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents of the U.S., protected individuals as defined by 8 USC 1324(b)(a)(3) (i.e., asylees and refugees) or otherwise eligible for an export authorization from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce. Offers of employment will be contingent on the Company's ability to secure an export authorization.
