We hope you'll visit our website and learn more about Zurn Elkay at zurnelkay.com.If you're ready to join a company where what you do makes a difference and you have pride in the work you are doing, talk to us about joining the Zurn Elkay Water Solutions Corporation family!The Electrical and Electronics Product Engineer I actively participates in a variety of engineering projects that focus on electrical and electronic sustaining, new product development (NPD), VAVE and continuous improvement of existing products to exceed customer expectations, national standards and internal requirements for cost and manufacturability within the ZURN ELKAY Water Solutions product lines.Responsibilities

  • Participate in product design, project management, failure mode analysis, physical product testing, and other tasks related to Value Added Value Engineered (VAVE) project process flow.
  • Perform electrical and electronic circuit analysis and reviews of legacy and current products.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and electronic failures with engineering supervision.
  • Upload firmware to microcontrollers and setting up experimental tests to troubleshoot failures and anomalies.
  • Compose firmware and/or software to operate sensors, motors, and solenoids.
  • Document engineering practices and standard practices of product tribal knowledge.
  • Travel within the US and/or international for project related activities.
  • Work on product compliance and regulatory activities as needed.Experience and Skill Required
    • Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
    • Must have exposure to hands-on electrical, electronics, and/or electromechanical failure analysis using Oscilloscopes, bread boards, and soldering equipment.
    • Exposure and experience with ORCAD, Altium, and/or other PCB layout and schematic capturing tools.
    • Versatile with C, C++, Labview, Python and/or other programming environment
    • Ability to work up to 40 hours per week on a project assignment basis
    • Capable of self-train to learn multiple design tools and advanced electromechanical equipment
    • Comfortable of working independently and in team environment conducting R&D activities.
    • Microcontrollers (MCUs) experience such as the TI MSP430, ST Micro, Microchip PIC-16Leadership Competencies
