Responsibilities : Functional leader for all Engineering topics in the 3D Printing organization within Xerox. Manage a multi-disciplinary engineering team to design/develop/deliver a production 3D Metal Jet Printer, including print head assembly, optical sensing, jetting driver electronics, numeric controls & drivers. Develop and test all new configurations of mechanical & thermal subsystems. Develop & maintain plans and resource priorities to support program-level deliverables using waterfall and agile project management methodologies to ensure predictable engineering organizational performance. Gauge progress of various projects/tasks using Microsoft project/Jira/Gantt charts or any other project tools. Conceive and implement new work processes to enable shorter knowledge and operational task lead-times. Develop & implement staff assignments, negotiate deliverables/receivables and prioritize with adjacent research, manufacturing, purchasing, finance, and business teams. Plan and execute the acquisition & training for new CAD/CAM/CAE/PLM software, material analysis test equipment, vibration test equipment, and 3D scanning metrology equipment. Identify opportunities for staff training to develop & optimize resources while simultaneously establishing new 3D printer design & development domain knowledge within the corporation. Qualifications : 10 years of experience managing engineering teams MBA or Master's Degree in Engineering or requisite industrial experience High level of design experience with high level of NX or other CAD multi-assembly design Ability to design and implement hardware for optical sensing and driver electronics Design and prototype drivers and controllers for electronic packaging Architecture responsibility for layout and implementation of design into manufacturing hardware assemblies Incredible problem-solving abilities Ability to give constructive criticism Ability to make decisions quickly Management of large vault of CAD designs and setting-up ability for version control Transfer of design from engineering to production and management of relationships Mentor team members in best practices for engineering Xerox is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, creed, religion, ancestry, national origin, age, gender identity or expression, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, use of a guide dog or service animal, military/veteran status, citizenship status, basis of genetic information, or any other group protected by law.
