We have an exciting opportunity to join our world-class HR division as a Manager, Talent Acquisition (TA). This remote position is part of our Global Talent Acquisition team that is responsible for the recruitment function at PPD. Working with a functionally-aligned team, you will establish credibility and trustworthiness to ensure a collaborative strategic partnership within TA, as well as the assigned business units. Job Description: This role provides guidance, strategy, and custom solutions to meet PPD's clinical recruitment needs. The role requires an effective communicator to work across multiple business functions, including the global HR team and HR Centers of Excellence to support a cohesive TA strategy. The Manager, TA will lead the strategy and management for a high-volume clinical recruitment team (-8-10 recruiters) and develop/guide team on sourcing, recruiting and onboarding the best-qualified candidates for open positions. This highly visible role will also develop/maintain strong relationships with assigned business units in order to keep abreast of current and future clinical business needs. Using available metrics and data, you will demonstrate how our TA strategy and resources will provide the needed talent to support quality delivery of our services. * Supervises team of recruiters; communicating TA initiatives, strategies and measurements. This is done through 1:1 meetings with staff, team calls to dispense current information and informal chats with staff as needed * Provides leadership and direction to senior staff, and works to develop junior staff through coaching * Anticipates recruiting needs by creating strong internal client relationships. This includes being visible on team planning and update calls, providing recommendations on resourcing and presenting historical data to the business. * Works closely with management peers in other regions and the wider department to share information and best practices, and provide assistance on critical needs. * Keeps records of activity and prepares productivity, analytical and other reports as assigned. * May recruit and interview external/internal candidates for senior to executive level positions if needed. * Remains abreast of trends and developments in talent acquisition and recommends nature and timing of department improvements. * Manages staff, which includes interviewing and selection, job description preparation, professional development, goal setting, performance management, coaching and mentoring, employee counselling, and separations. Approves courses of action on salary administration, hiring, corrective action, and terminations. Reviews and approves time records, expense reports, requests for leave, and overtime. * LI-NA1 #GD * LI-Remote Education and Experience: Previous HR/Recruitment experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5 years). 1 year of leadership or supervisory responsibility CRO / Clinical Research / Life Sciences industry experience a plus! Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Strong analytical and quantitative skills to review and prepare data * Strong supervisory or management skills * Strong Microsoft Office skills for analysis and presentation of data * Proficient in problem solving and prioritizing * Work effectively with all levels of employees with excellent interpersonal skills * Demonstrates strong presentation skills * Excellent communication skills both written and verbal * Ability to multi-task and handle pressure * Ability to handle confidential information and exercise discretion * Advanced knowledge of personnel policy and procedure as well as laws regarding employment practices Management Role: * Manages experienced professionals and / or subordinate management who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
