  • Intra Month Balance Sheet Program (IMBS) is a global initiate whereby the Bank undertook this program so that they could produce an Intra Month Balance Sheet when requested to do so by Regulatory authorities (covers the Americas, Premier and APAC).
  • The Bank needs to produce this balance sheet at any requested time, and in a timely manner. However, this can take up to 10 business days following months' end, and then still needs to go through the end processes and ensure the balance sheet is accurate and signed off by relevant Stakeholders.
  • This IMBS program was undertaken with the realization that if they had to produce a balance sheet, the Regulatory authorities would not have to wait this extensive time. This IMBS Program was implemented earlier in 2021 - which in turn the Bank now has the ability to process Balance Sheets within a few days.
  • Now the Bank has 20 to 25 critical top priorities aka "Work Packages" that need to be delivered in 2022. This person would drive these Packages (a Team of 4 or 5).
  • Role site within Operations Change - the team facilitates all relevant deliverables for the Operations Functions (the teams works closely with the Product Control and Finance teams.) Requirements:
    • Hybrid PM/BA (around a 50/50 split)
    • Familiar with balance sheet control functions within an investment bank
    • Agile methodologies
    • Jira lifecycles Responsibilities:
      • PM to work within the IMBS program in the Americas - to move the "Work Packages" forward through the usual lifecycle through the program
      • Gather related business requirements (SMEs would be available to provide this input) document these business requirements; make sure these are written and produced in the correct detail and accuracy
      • Produce BRDs (SME will provide this knowledge) - then this person would document all the requirements that the SME is providing
      • Conduct As-Is process flows (An As-Is Process Flow documents how a business process is performed currently in the organization)
      • Ensure there's correct signoffs and reviews with relevant Stakeholders
      • Deal with downstream IT systems convert them into the next level of functional requirements and technical specs
      • Work through delivery phases - ensure the "build" is planned and resourced; make sure they have the relevant testing available (referring to both IT and user-side testing); then working this through across the line in terms of getting it deployed in production
      • Improve the "processing time" that is takes to produce a balance sheet
      • Improving reconciliations
      • Add automation to the manual steps that are already in place
      • Improve "people processes" - i.e. the actual people performance that could be optimized
      • Work with other PMs to drive forward delivery Overview of business area or project: The Intra Month Balance Sheet program is a regulatory driven program that was initiated early in 2021 to help the Bank produce a balance sheet in a timely manner when requested to do so under a market stress environment. A number of improvements have been delivered through 2021 however there is a book of work that is being carried over into 2022. Overview of department/team: This PM role sits within Operations Change team which has a global function. The IMBS program has specific funding to hire additional resources to help deliver the book of work in 2022, working with colleagues in Finance & Product Control. The IMBS team within Ops Change is about 15 people globally, with about 4-5 based in Raleigh. The candidate will ideally have some knowledge of the function performed by Operations team in Investment Banking environment, and will be expected to build relationships with relevant stakeholders to deliver the book of work in 2022. We are looking for a person who can perform a hybrid PM/BA role, using Agile best practices, to document Business Requirements with sufficient detail as well as Functional Requirements that can be understood by the relevant IT teams. Project planning & management will also form a key part of daily duties performed. Candidate value proposition: The Bank has allocated specific funding to make these improvements within Operations, Finance & Product Control in 2022. The candidate will have the opportunity to build upon the good work that has already been delivered in 2021, with strong partnership across the business functions. Education/experience:
        • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
        • PMI or PMP certification preferred.
