Job Title: Services PMO Manager Introduction:The PMO Manager will lead a team of highly skilled Project Managers towards the successful delivery of Toshibas strategic projects for the worldwide retail market. The PMO Manager will develop and nurture key relationships with product management, business partners, services, finance, procurement, and other supporting groups to ensure timely solutions that will fully satisfy demanding customer expectations. The PMO Manager will provide team leadership to 5-6 clients, managing larger team sizes of junior to advanced skilled professionals Project Managers. This position requires a combination of people management experience, proven knowledge of software development processes, and program management skills to drive cross-functional team activities.Accountability:

  • Focusing on 5-6 clients, the PMO Manager will lead junior to experienced Project Managers to successfully manage complex, multi-phased programs by guiding cross-functional teams to define, scope, plan, and deliver high-quality projects.
  • Establishing and maintaining governance arrangements for the delivery of projects and programs, defining clear roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities that align with PMO practice
  • Act as the single point of contact for client escalations on all project activities. Identifying, addressing, and resolving differences between individuals and project stakeholder groups and ensuring proper communication on deliverables as appropriate through executive management levels within the organization.
  • Develop, implement, and update resource allocation plans needed for projects and programs, taking account of availabilities and scheduling. Securing the provision of resources necessary for these projects and programs from internal and external providers
  • Identifying, defining, evaluating, planning, tracking, and realizing the business benefits of projects and programs.Responsibilities:Strategically promote continuous process improvement practices across a global team that will enable the development and support of innovative projects.
    • Ensure Agile practices are applied and followed. Identify and resolve problems, gaps, and challenges in Project Management processes.
    • Foster an environment of empowerment, collaboration, trust, and accountability for departmental and cross-functional teams to deliver successful projects.
    • Identifying and developing frameworks and methodologies that ensure the management of projects and programs will be comprehensive and consistent across different initiatives.
    • Identifying additional capabilities required by extended team members and helping with their development, including training and mentoring opportunities. Required Skills:
      • Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
      • 4+ years of people management experience, including performance management, motivation, career development, and dealing with conflict.
      • 6+ years managing development projects.
      • Extensive experience in managing development teams and projects.
      • Good analytic and logical problem-solving skills.
      • Strong collaborative and teaming skills.
      • 5+ years of experience in Agile development.
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills, fluency in EnglishPreferred Skills:
        • Product knowledge in Retail and Point-of-Sale applications will be a plus.
