Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and lung cancer
Duke Raleigh Hospital- Assistant -Director, Nutrition Services
Directs the provision of medical nutrition therapy and the
nutrition care process by supervising the activities of clinical
dietitians and food service department.
Must be Registered Dietitian (RD). Masters Degree Required. Prefer
four years of experience.
Leadership role provides oversight to Clinical Dietitian team,
including lead RD, Food Service Supervisors and Food Service
Part of a great management team including an Administrative
Director, Executive Chef and Nutrition Informatics. Teamwork allows
for greater work/life balance than in other management roles.
Maintenance of top-rated Room Service program.
Development of Food Insecurity programs.
HR functions with an emphasis on coaching and development.
Representation of the Nutritional Services team with hospital
administration, medical, nursing and allied health
Mentorship to Nutrition students working in food service roles.
Quality initiatives (clinical and food service) with a focus on
data driven outcomes.
Policy development and monitoring in accordance with regulatory
Leadership and development of four departmental supervisors.
Development of training material for departmental programs for both
clinical and non-clinical team members.
Note: This is not a contracted management position. Employment is
directly through the hospital.
Masters Degree required.
Four years of experience in clinical nutrition.
Degrees, Licensures, Certifications
Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (American
Dietetic Association) and Licensed by the N.C. Board of Dietetics
