This position is located in Morrisville, NC, with partial telework.The Contract Manager will produce high-quality Contract Management related products supporting commercial and government programs. This position requires a strong background in DOD contracting, excellent communication skills, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be a team player but also a strong independent contributor, will be proactive, possess good analytical skills, demonstrate problem-solving skills, and will be detail-oriented.The Contract Manager must deal effectively with competing priorities and deadlines and handle multiple tasks. The Contract Administrator must possess the ability to work well with others in high-stress high-volume situations, effectively interface with internal functions, programs, and external customers, and meet the goals and objectives of the VIGILINT Team.Responsibilities

  • The Contract Manager will report directly to the President & COO
  • Negotiating terms of contracts, both with external and internal parties
  • Preparing purchasing and sales contracts
  • Updating existing contracts
  • Reviewing contracts in preparation for execution, working with legal counsel as needed
  • Overseeing the preparation of contracts relating to the sale or purchase of services and goods, as well as revising contracts as needed
  • Tracking deadlines and payments in coordination with the finance department
  • Providing summaries and details about contracts, while ensuring that the execution meets compliance requirements
  • Overseeing planning of proposals and contract administration
  • Ensuring that all parties involved in the contract comply with legal regulations and government requirements
  • Negotiating conditions and terms of a contract under the direction of legal counsel
  • Preparing and dissecting information to any involved parties in regard to the status of the contract
  • Coordinating meetings with stakeholders
  • Preparing revisions and briefs that will summarize financial information and contractual regulations
  • Maintaining files for every contract, including payment schedules, correspondence, clarifications, deviations/changes, and amendments
  • Tracking any correspondence and authorizations
  • Preparing modifications and monitoring the performance of the contract, including reporting and any deliverables required
  • Maintaining organized, detailed files
  • Other duties as assignedRequirements
    • This position emphasizes skills and experience.
    • Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 10 years of applied experience in a related field
    • Masters Degree with a minimum of 8 years of applied experience in a related field
    • Strong technical contracts background to include proposal development and negotiation skills
    • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to lead meetings with government regulatory organizations
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance
    • Working knowledge of FAR and DFAR as well as experience with different contract types
    • Experience leading teams, including cross-functional/cross-organization teams.
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to make recommendations and provide guidance to effectively bring projects to completion.
    • Experience with early to mid-stage hyper-growth companies
    • Exemplary work ethic
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to solve complex problems and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced, constantly changing environmentPreferred Qualifications:
      • Contractor Logistics Services (CLS) contracting experience
      • Global contractual experience with international direct commercial sales pursuits and contract awards
      • FEDSIM contract experience
      • NCMA Certification (CPCM, CFCM and/or CCCM)
      • Government Property Management experience
      • MS/MA/MBA
