Description:The Technical Training Manger (TTM) is responsible for developing and providing hands on training to internal field staff concerning any commercial TARGAN device. A person in this position leads the design and delivery of technical training programs and determining training objectives by conducting analysis of overall needs and specific skill or knowledge gaps for field personnel. The TTM manages the development of training programs and materials including outlines, handouts, hands on exercises, and training evaluations. The TTM also is responsible for establishing processes to monitor results and collect feedback on training instructions to determine effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Requirements:

  • Identify and assess the training needs of the organization through job analysis, career paths and consultation with managers.
  • Designs and delivers commercial systems learning and development solutions in conjunction with the relevant subject matter experts and technical writer
  • Formulates technical training needs to ensure that training solutions are proactive and support the overall company and departmental strategic direction.
  • Develops individualized and group training methods and programs that address specific business needs and organizational objectives.
  • Leads training themselves through in-person classes or online instruction.
  • Identifies the level of knowledge and experience of the staff to then create appropriate programs designed to develop the necessary skills needed to successfully perform their job duties and responsibilities.
  • Develops training manuals and other materials that are current, accurate, and effective by keeping abreast of training trends, developments, and best practices that target tangible results.
  • Develops quantitative and qualitative training and testing materials for both TARGAN employees and commercial customers, ensuring specific skillsets and capabilities are being developed and obtained for a multitiered certification program.
  • Manage the technologies and technical personnel required to develop, manage and deliver training.
  • Broadens training scope to include corporate level training across TARGAN with the objective of implementing a Learning Management System (LMS), particularly as the company expands internationally.QUALIFICATIONSEducation & Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in a technical, education and/or engineering field is required.
    • Instructional experience in a group business setting.
    • Knowledge of electromechanical systems is preferred.
    • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong understanding of business goals and standards for technical and field service personnel.
    • Experience developing yearly training plans and materials for many different departments and positions throughout the company.
    • Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
    • Experience analyzing company needs, lesson planning, training material development, and implementation.
    • Extensive knowledge and experience creating effective instructional materials and training aids.
    • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, judgment, and initiative.Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
      • Normal periods of sitting and standing in an office environment.
      • Working with and around heavy machinery or equipment on a regular basis.
      • Working with birds or other animals.WORKING CONDITIONSWork is performed inside a flex space building consisting of offices, open desk space, laboratory, machine shop, and a manufacturing floor. Level of noise is usually quiet in the office environment and temperature controlled. Noise levels are elevated in the warehouse, manufacturing and equipment training space where temperatures can vary depending on the outside elements and weather. Travel may be required, including 2-8 trips per year to visit customer sites (hatcheries) & vendors, and attend conferences and offsite meetings (customer, investor, and business).PI207900520
