Job Description:

The North Carolina Football Club, owner and operator of two affiliated professional soccer teams: the North Carolina Courage (NWSL) and North Carolina FC (USL Championship), is seeking a Fan Experience Manager to support the club, by providing a first-class fan experience at First Horizon Stadium and supporting Game Day Excellence department initiatives to help grow the fan base. The Fan Experience Manger will also work closely and collaborate with other departments across the organization.KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Responsible for Match Day planning and implementation to include:- Act as the main point of contact for all North Carolina Courage match days and the supporting point of contact for all North Carolina FC match days.- Lead ideation during preseason theme planning for both clubs, collaborating with Operations, Production, Sponsorship, and Leadership.- Lead the planning and management of the game day fan experience for both clubs, ensuring an unforgettable experience and atmosphere for all fans, third-party vendors, and staff.- Comprehensively manage promotions, performers, features, stadium activations, and special match day events or ceremonies. Ensure all activations and promotions are on theme and executed to a high standard.- Document and coordinate day of match details, including run of show, mascot and game day staff timelines, and PA/host scripts.- Collaborate with departments on match day and non-match day special events or ceremonies with an emphasis on elevating the fan experience.- Collaborate with the Marketing department on staffing for game days, including the mascot and part-time staff. Ensure adequate coverage across club-wide events.- Manage and mentor full-time and part-time staff, emphasizing employee development and establishment of industry best practices.- Standardize and develop business processes based on prior experiences and industry standards. Train full-time and part-time staff on processes to ensure club-wide adoption and a high level of execution.- Lead the preparation of the stadium and storage areas prior to all home matches.- Monitor industry trends and ideate incorporation into the existing in-game presentation.- Maintain department databases, equipment, inventory, and storage facilities.- Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, or other related fields, or equivalent applicable experiences.- 3+ years of event presentation, game operations, or live events experience.- Outgoing, creative self-starter that has strong leadership skills, while thriving in a team environment.- Excellent interpersonal, project management, and event management skills.- Must be willing to work non-traditional hours that include weekends, nights and holidays.- Must be able to work at the North Carolina Football Club headquarters in Raleigh, NC.- Support, live, and champion the club values of Integrity, Community, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.PREFERRED SKILLS- Passion for women's sports, storytelling, and fan culture.- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus (Spanish preferred).PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
