The Physician Assistant will work under the general supervision of
the Director of Orthopaedics, supervising physicians, and the
Orthopaedics APP manager at WakeMed Physician Practices to deliver
competent medical care to orthopaedic patients in the outpatient
practice settings. The Physician Assistant will be providing pre
and post-operative care, fracture care, post trauma care and
general musculoskeletal care in the orthopaedic outpatient and
orthopaedic urgent care clinic.The provider will work in
collaboration with other physicians and APPs within the group to
provide continuous and comprehensive management of a wide range of
acute and chronic orthopaedic conditions at WakeMed. The Physician
Assistant will also function as an educator and preceptor for
students from health care programs.The APP will maintain all
required certifications by the North Carolina Medical Board to
practice in the specialty of orthopaedics and within the scope of
practice to be consistent with the policies, procedures and
regulatory guidelines governed by the North Carolina Medical Board
and any other federal or state regulatory agencies including the
policies and procedures of WakeMed. The provider understands the
needs of the organization and supports the mission, values and
management of WakeMed.Experience Requirements:
1 Year Clinical - Orthopaedics Required - And 2 Years Clinical -
Ambulatory Care PreferredEducation Required:
Bachelor's Degree Physician Assistant Required - And Master's
Degree Physician Assistant PreferredLicensure/Certification
Requirements:
Licensed Physician Assistant And Board Certification in Area of
