Occ Summary Independently plan and provide professional nursi ng
care for patients inaccordance with physician orders and
established policies andprocedures. Provide nursing services to
patients and familie s inaccordance with the scope of the RN as
defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.Nurses hired into
this limited benefited classification will commit towork a minimum
number of hours. Clinical Nurse-FP, PRN w ill be assignedto the
Internal Staffing Resource Pool and will float the multipleareas.
Compensation is a flat rate that is based on years of ex
perience.
Work Performed Plan, provide, supervise and document professional
nursing careutilizing the nursing process for pat ients in
accordance with physicianorders and established policies and pr
ocedures. Use professional nursingjudgment to individualize the
plan of care based on assessment of thepatient's baseline needs and
response to care.Delegate tasks and supervise the activities of
other licensed andun licensed care providers.Assist other nursing
personnel in the delivery o f nursing care and actas team leader or
charge nurse for a group of pati ents or an entire unitas
assigned.Monitor and initiate corrective action to maintain the
environment ofcare including equipmentand materialres
ources.Participate in own professional development by maintaining
requir edcompetencies, identifying learning needs and seeking
appropriateassist ance or educational offerings.Act as preceptor
and support the developme nt ofother staff and
formallearners.Participate in the identification o f clinical or
operational performanceimprovement opportunities and in pe
rformance improvement activities.Perform other related duties
incidental to the work described herein.

Minimum Qualifications
Education Work requires graduation from an accredited BSN or
Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program. All
registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or
higher) will be required to enroll in an appropriate BSN program
within two years of their start date and to complete the program
within five years of their start date.
Experience 2 years of appropriate clinical experience required.
Degrees, Licensures, Certifications Must have current or compact RN
licensure in the state of North Carolina. BLS required.
