Position Information:
The Nurse Practitioner, Specialty will work under the general
supervision of the Cardiology practice primary supervising
physician, all physician partners and the Heart and Vascular
Manager and Director, WakeMed Physician Practices, to deliver
competent medical care to an age specific population including
adults and geriatric practice patients at WakeMed. This position
will complete admission workups, discharges, consults, and provide
pre- and post-procedural care in general and interventional
cardiology. - -The APP will function as the on-site provider to
directly receive calls from staff and provide orders for medical
care needs, transfer patients as appropriate, and communicate
directly with the practice attending physician or on-call physician
during emergencies. Position to maintain the scope of practice to
be consistent with the policies, procedures, and regulatory
guidelines governed by the North Carolina Board of Nursing and
Medical Board, and any other federal or state regulatory agencies,
as well as the policies and procedures of WakeMed. Understands the
needs of the organization and supports the mission, values, and
management of WakeMed.
