Occ Summary This job classification is used for the Nursing Float
Pool managed by Board of Nursing.accordance with the scope of the
RN as defined by the North CarolinaISRP.Independently plan and
provide profess ional nursing care for patientsin accordance with
physicianorders andest ablished policies and procedures. Provide
nursing services topatients an d families in Work Performed Plan,
provide, supervise and documentprofes sional nursing care Perform
other related duties incidental to thework
describedherein.Participate in own professionaldevelopment by main
taining required Delegate tasks and supervise theactivities of
other lic ensedandunlicensed care providers.Monitor and initiate
corrective action to maintain the environment ofAssistother nursing
personnelin thedeliv ery of nursing care and actlearners.Act as
preceptor and support the dev elopment of other staff and
formalutilizing the nursingprocess for patie ntsin accordance with
physician orders and established policies andproce dures. Use
professionalnursingjudgment to individualize the plan of care based

Minimum Qualifications
EducationWork requires graduation from an accredited BSN program.
Exception: Registered nurses hired between July 1, 2014 and April
11, 2021 without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) are
expected to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years
of their start date but must complete the program within five years
of their start date. Registered nurses hired before July 1, 2014
are not required to enroll in a BSN program to remain in this job
classification.
ExperienceNoexperience required
Degrees, Licensures, CertificationsMust have current or compact RN
licensure in the state of North Carolina. BLS required.
