  • Relocation Assistance (based on eligibility) - Occ SummaryPerform a variety of nonprofessional nursing d uties in the direct careof patients under the direct supervision of a RN /LPN. Perform taskswithin the scope of a nursing care assistant I and I I as defined by theNC Boardof Nursing.
    Work PerformedIn addition to duties outlined in NAI job description, the followingdut ies may be performed: sterile dressing change for wounds over 48hours ol dand wound irrigation; IV fluid assistance activities;oral/nasogastricf eeding; urinary catheterization and irrigation; oxygentherapy, including room set-up and monitoring flow-rate; break up andremoval of fecal impac tion; oropharyngeal and nasopharyngealsuctioning; tracheotomy care; ost omy care, irrigation and annual skillsvalidation.Participate in own prof essional development by maintaining requiredskills validation and attend ing educational offerings. Support thedevelopment of other staff and for mal learners.Perform other related duties incidental to the work describ ed herein.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Education Completion of aLevel I - Nurse Aide education program approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing or successful completion of the NC - approved Nurse Aide I competency test. High School diploma or equivalent required.

    Degrees, Licensures, Certifications Currently listed as a Nursing Assistant I (NAI) with the Division of Facility Services with no substantiated findings of abuse, fraud, neglect or misappropriation of property.
