Job Description:

To work as an X-ray technician, you will be responsible for taking and developing X-ray images of parts of the human body in order to diagnose disease or injury. The images are used for planning surgery and treatment. You will work in an X-ray lab, using computer technology to produce X-ray images. The X-ray technician works under the supervision of an X-ray lab director and in collaboration with other medical professionals. Mastering technical skills and using your judgment are key competencies for this role. As an X-ray technician, we want you to help our company achieve high levels of customer satisfaction by providing an efficient service.Responsibilities:* Take x-ray images of the chest, abdomen and extremities .* Interpret x-ray images to identify abnormalities, such as tumors and skeletal fractures .* Adjust settings on x-ray machines to ensure high quality images .* Sterilize equipment according to safety protocols .* Assist in the surgery by immobilizing body areas and positioning patients as directed by surgeons .* Clean and maintain x-ray machines to ensure proper functioning and infection control .* Communicate with healthcare staff during procedures to ensure proper care of patients .* Keep track of medical records by updating information, filing documents and maintaining inventories .* Compile reports detailing patients medical histories and treatment plans.Job Type: Full-timePay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:* Paid time offMedical Specialty:* Radiology* Urgent CareSchedule:* 12 hour shiftWork Location: In personby Jobble
