Health Medical CenterECU Health Beaufort Hospital serves as a
campus of ECU Health Medical Center. The 142-bed full-service
hospital is located in Washington and has earned national
designation as a Primary Stroke Center. It is home to a 16-bed
emergency department that serves approximately 25,000 patients per
year, as well as the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center - a provider
of leading-edge chemotherapy and radiation therapy, among other
cancer services. ECU Health Beaufort also offers general medical
and surgical services, operative services, a women's birthing
center, rehabilitation services and outpatient clinics.Position
SummaryResponsible for assessing, treatment planning and execution
of Occupational Therapy treatments. These services are based on the
patient/family preferences and the developmental needs, medical
conditions and diseases as they affect patient care and recovery.
The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for maintaining
patient care documentation and adherence to documentation
guidelines. The staff therapist shall participate in maintaining a
patient caseload and meeting established productivity standards.
Able to understand the patient problems as related to the patient's
occupational performance. Supervises Level I & II students
Occupational Therapy and Rehab Studies students. Interprets results
of standardized tests. Develops plan of care. Involved with special
projects and capable of assisting with research. May provide
supervision and delegation of responsibilities to OT I and II & all
Occupational Therapy Assistant staff. Assists with teaching OT and
OTA students at the collegiate level, staff development,
credentialing Occupational Therapy Assistants. Has identified an
area of clinical expertise. Performs other duties as
assigned.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's, Master's or Doctorate in
Occupational Therapy is required.Five or greater years and less
than 10 years of licensure.Registration or Certification:North
Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy (NCBOT)National Board for
Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)General StatementIt is
