Job Description & Requirements - Specialty:Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline:RN - Start Date:07/28/2025 - Duration:13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift:12 hours, nights - Employment Type:Travel Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele) Facility:Cape Fear Valley Hoke Hospital Location:Raeford, NC (210 Medical Pavilion Dr) Start Date:07/28/2025 Duration:13 Weeks Shift:Nights (3x12-Hour, 19:00-07:00) Weekend Rotation:Every Other Weekend Unit Overview: This41-bed MS/Tele unitin acounty-operated acute care facility(37 total beds) specializes in adult/geriatric care with a focus on: - Cardiac monitoring (CHF, chest pain, dysrhythmias) - Respiratory conditions (COPD, asthma, pneumonia) - Post-surgical recovery (orthopedic, podiatry) - Neurological care (non-hemorrhagic stroke) - Wound care and complex medical management Key Responsibilities: - Managepatient ratios of 1:6(nights/weekends) - Provide telemetry monitoring and interpretation - Administer medications includingheparin protocols and PCA - Assist with procedures:stress tests, ECHOs, CT/MRI prep - Float requirement:May float to main campus MS/Tele units - Special equipment:Pare Care Ice for orthopedic patients Requirements & Qualifications: Mandatory: - Active RN license(Compact or NC state; no pending licenses) - 2 yearsMS/Tele experience - Certifications:BLS, NIHSS (ACLS preferred) - Epic EMR proficiency - Willingness tofloat to main campuswhen needed Preferred: - Experience with: - Orthopedic post-op care - Stroke patients - Wound vac management - Substance withdrawal protocols Facility Details: - Charting:Epic (required) About HonorVet Technologies HonorVet Technologies: Pioneering Purpose, Empowering Heroes Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as aService-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), proudly certified byNaVOBAand theU.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
