Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Active Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: Telemetry experience Intermediate Care experience Cardiac experience Epic experience required Description: The position involves working in a hybrid Progressive Care Unit and Telemetry setting. The unit consists of a total of 28 beds, including a 20-bed Telemetry level of care unit and an 8-bed Intermediate Care Unit. Patients may include individuals across the life span with cardiovascular and medical/surgical needs. Common patient presentations include heart failure, chest pain rule out, and post-catheterization care. Nursing staff will manage patients with CPAP/BiPAP, antiarrhythmics, vasopressors, antihypertensives, anticoagulants, and participate in sheath/TR band removal. The staffing ratio is one nurse to four or five patients during the day shift and one nurse to five or six patients during the night shift. Floating to appropriate units is required. All units may handle COVID patients. No exemptions or declinations for vaccinations will be accepted. Candidates must have travel experience preferred. The reliance on specific software or electronic health record systems is necessary for this role. Please ensure to include any relevant time-off requests upfront upon application.
