Center - 4825 Creekstone Drive, Durham, NC JOB SUMMARY: We are
seeking a Medical Assistant, Certified in our Endocrine Engagement
Center clinic located in Durham, NC. The Medical Assistant,
Certified, performs routine administrative and patient care
supportive duties in a Health System remote practice that assist
medical and/or nursing staff in the examination and treatment of
patients and ensure the clinic/office runs smoothly. The Triage
Nurse position is based in Durham, NC at a non-clinical office
site. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Perform telephone message
taking with patients, document encounter, follow protocols and
escalation plans established by clinic leadership - Manage
telephone calls and in basket messages within scope. - Forms
management - Participates in performance improvement projects. -
Obtain prior authorizations for medications and durable medical
equipment as indicated. JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: - Graduation
from accredited Medical Assistant program accredited by the
Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs
(CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools
(ABHES) strongly preferred. - High school or GED graduation
required. - Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA or ARMA
required. Please indicate on resume which certification you have,
the certification number, and expiration date. - BLS required -
Level I No experience required. - Level II 1 year of clinical
experience as a Medical Assistant, Certified in a clinical setting.
JOB HOURS: Hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
No weekends or Duke designated holidays. Once fully oriented, this
work can be done as a hybrid model. This means a rotating schedule
of working remotely and from the office. Duke is an Equal
