Job Opportunity – Emergency Department RN – North Carolina Start Date: February 23, 2026 Location: North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 36 hours per week, minimum of 4 weekend days per 6-week schedule Highlights: High-volume Emergency Department with 250 visits per day and 101 beds serving a diverse patient population Patient ratios of 1:3-5 in a regional referral and tertiary care center 13-week contract with 24 hours of orientation provided Epic EMR system with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams Float opportunities to Emergency Observation Unit and Emergency Behavioral Health based on department needs First-time travelers accepted; local candidates welcome Requirements: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience Active North Carolina or Compact state RN license (must be in hand at start) Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (BCLS), NIH (NIHSS), PALS, CPI (MOAB) Must pass facility EKG testing prior to start date Proficiency in IV starts, triage, telemetry, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias Experience with Epic charting system required Skills in arterial line management, central line care, blood product administration, IV sedation, vasopressors, and ventilated patient care Annual flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only) Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity Emergency Department at a respected regional referral center serving all patient populations from neonates to geriatrics.
