Physician Assistant | Urgent Care Location: Rockingham, NC Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Physician Assistant - Acute Care / Urgent Care / Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care Overview: Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner specializing in Acute and Urgent Care. This vital role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to adult and pediatric patients (6 months and older) in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for managing high patient volumes independently, performing minor procedures, and utilizing your clinical expertise to make a meaningful difference in our community health services. We seek motivated professionals committed to exceptional patient care and continuous improvement within our collaborative, supportive setting. Required Skills: Minimum of 12 months of clinical experience in urgent or acute care settings Current board certification (PA Cert, Family NP Cert, or applicable specialty boards) Proficiency in Epic electronic health records (EMR) system Valid BLS certification and NC DEA license Ability to see and treat adult and pediatric patients independently Strong soft skills, including effective communication, empathy, and professionalism Ability to handle high patient volumes efficiently while maintaining quality care Good multitasking and procedural skills (e.g., I&D, lac repair, ear irrigation) Must be able to provide all required credentialing documents prior to onboarding Nice to Have Skills: Experience performing minor procedures in urgent care settings Previous experience working with Epic EMR in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with managing diverse patient populations including pediatrics and adults Bilingual abilities are a plus Preferred Education and Experience: Advanced practice providers with at least 12 months of urgent or acute care experience Completed Board Certification through NCCPA (PA) or certified Family Nurse Practitioner programs Experience working independently as the sole provider in a healthcare setting Other Requirements: Willingness to participate in onboarding and EMR system training sessions scheduled on set Wednesdays Ability to support multiple locations within a 60-mile radius from home residence (support within this area preferred) Must successfully pass a clinical screening and credentialing process prior to initial shift No travel reimbursement; mileage only Support staff include center managers, medical assistants, and off-site supervising physicians for APPs Take this opportunity to make a difference by joining a caring team dedicated to delivering exceptional urgent care services.
