ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Greensboro, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Stepdown Job Details: • Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Rotating weekends required • Float required as needed across all Cone Health facilities • Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends • Minimum 2 years of experience required • First time travelers accepted • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale • Neuro PCU experience required • Previous Charge RN experience preferred • EPIC charting system experience required • Must pass mandatory EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed) • Care for medical neurological patients including stroke, seizure disorders, traumatic brain injury, and movement disorders • Experience with CVA, External CPAP/BiPAP, TR band, and Yale Swallowing screen required • Skills include central line care, PICC line management, telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, tracheostomy care, and dysrhythmia interpretation • Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences • Scheduling through self-assisted Optilink system for 6-week periods • 24-hour orientation provided • COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only) Facility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive 30-bed Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care department with a primary focus on caring for medical neurological patients. The facility features a Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department that provides continuous monitoring surveillance for patients. The unit provides interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and various other specialized services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
