As a Level IV epilepsy center, we are leading the way in adult and
pediatric epilepsy care—from diagnosis to curative treatment. Our
EEG technologists work bedside, review studies, and assist in the
OR alongside top neurosurgeons and epileptologists. We are also
pioneering a neurodiagnostic apprenticeship with our local

career in cutting-edge neurodiagnostics. Job Summary: Performs
standard and complex electroneurodiagnostic tests in the Clinical
Neurophysiology Lab and polysomnographic testing on patients in the
Sleep Disorders Lab. Work may be performed in a lab, clinic,
patient bedside, or in the operating room. Provides oversight,
education, and leadership for other technologists in the
department. Description of Job Responsibilities: Performs
diagnostic patient testing electroencephalogram (EEG),
electromyography (EMG), nerve conduction velocities (NCV), sensory
evoked potentials (EP), and polysomnographic testing with possible
oxygen therapy and continuous positive air pressure treatments
(CPAP). Performs room and equipment set-up and placement in
hospital rooms, operating rooms, or clinics. Calibrates and
maintains equipment. Reads and scores neurodiagnostic and/or
polysomnographic tests. Takes patient histories. Provides
instruction to patients and families regarding test preparation,
pre-test interviews, and follow-up appointments. Provides
instruction and guidance to other technologists in the
Neurodiagnostic and/or Sleep Disorders Lab, ensuring annual
education needs of the team are met. Participates in development
and presentation of staff education programs. Assist in development
of resources and utilizes educational materials. Performs
administrative tasks as assigned and according to department needs,
including but not limited to equipment management, supply and
resource management, advanced technical troubleshooting specialist,
student liaison, and schedule management. Consistently follows
through on all projects or assignments. Demonstrates strong
communication skills and leadership abilities, providing effective
feedback to coworkers. Participates in the assessment and
validation of skills and competencies. Consistently functions in
the role of Team Leader, Preceptor, and/or Mentor, modeling
leadership and organizational values. Other Information Education
Requirements: Graduation from an accredited program of
Neurophysiology or acceptable pathway. Licensure/Certification
Requirements: Registered in one of the following specialty areas:
•EEG (Electroencecephalogram- R. EEG T., CLTM) •EP (Evoked
Potentials-R. EP T.) •Intra-Operative Monitoring (CNIM) •Nerve
Conduction Velocity studies (NCV) •Polysomnography (RPSGT)
Professional Experience Requirements: If completion of an
acceptable program of Neurophysiology: Five (5) years prior
experience required. If a High School diploma or GED: Seven (7)
years of experience performing a variety of Sleep or
Neurodiagnostics procedures. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Requirements : 1.For Sleep Disorders Lab: •Minimum of 5 years of
experience within the specialty of Sleep Medicine. •Successfully
documented expertise in 3 or more advanced techniques, which
includes: daytime scoring, Inspire titration, advanced airway
studies, home sleep studies, ASVs, oral appliance titration,
ventilator studies and trilogy studies coordination with
Respiratory Therapy. •Letter of recommendation from a peer,
supervisor, and medical director. 2.For EEG Lab/Epilepsy Monitoring
Unit: •Minimum of 5 years of experience within the specialty of
EEG. •Successfully documented expertise in 3 or more advanced
procedures or 1 advanced procedure plus secondary registry. Areas
of expertise includes: Phase IIs, WADAs, SPECTs, bedside Mapping,
Awake OR Mapping, intraoperative ECOG, ECI, 10- 10, advanced
montage building, and clinical evoked potentials. •Letter of
recommendation from a peer, supervisor, and medical director. 3.For
