This locum tenens assignment involves round-the-clock call coverage, focusing on both emergent C-sections and vaginal deliveries. You will be supported by hospitalist staff, on-call anesthesiology, and radiology, within a Level 1 nursery environment. With varied shifts, you’ll be comfortable adapting to dynamic schedules while enjoying access to hospital-provided accommodations. Key Details - Assignment Type: Locum Tenens - Setting: Hospital - Start Date: 06/01/XX - Schedule: Varied 24-hour call shifts within given dates - Patient Population: All Ages - Location: Clinton, NC - Stipends: Housing provided in hospital apartments; travel costs capped at $500 Benefits - Weekly direct deposit - Malpractice insurance with tail coverage - Supportive credentialing assistance - Lodging and mileage reimbursement (if applicable) - Flexible scheduling Job Responsibilities - Provide obstetric care including emergent C-sections and vaginal deliveries - Round on patients and handle emergent GYN procedures - Ensure quality outcomes for high-risk pregnancies through immediate measures and potential transfers Qualifications - Active NC license and NC DEA - NC Medicaid and PECOS enrollment - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics - Fully vaccinated - Proven track record in delivering babies (case logs required for the past 24 months) Working Hours - Varied shifts covering 24-hour call periods Skills - Management of low and high-risk pregnancies - Fetal heart rate interpretation and OB ultrasounds performance - Experience in routine and complicated deliveries, including C-sections, breech, multiple births - Proficient in repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations - Competence in office/minor and surgical gynecological procedures
