This position is located at WOMACK Army Medical Center in the Department of Behavioral Health at the Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, NC. We manage several outstanding Primary Care practice sites located in Fort Liberty, Fayetteville, Hope Mills, and Linden Oaks. Womack is located in Fayetteville, Fort Liberty which is 2 hours from the beach and 5 hours from the Appalachian Mountains with easy access to I-95 and all points north and south. This central North Carolina location enjoys seasonably palatable weather year-round. Responsibilities As a Supervisory Physician Psychiatrist you will: - Supervisor outlines the general scope of professional services, administrative policies, and provides general professional, administrative and medical direction. - Serve as expert advisor on Army, and MTF behavioral health policies and procedures to successfully achieve functions, missions, and objectives. - Provide consultation, advisory, and liaison services and must be well versed to transition to any area in the population as required. - Participate in quality assurance, and quality improvement studies, utilization review, risk management, and peer review activities. - Perform first level supervisory work; plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, prepare schedules for completion of work. - Direct all aspects of BH clinic and services, promote patient centered services, access to quality care. - Examine and conduct thorough studies of presenting patients and evaluate laboratory and clinical findings, prescribing appropriate treatment or referring patient to appropriate specialty clinics. Qualifications US Citizenship required. Board Certified in Psychiatry Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment. Candidates must have a permanent, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
