Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Case Manager Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 8 hours (15:00 - 23:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Previous charge experience required - Acute hospital experience required - Experience with ICU, MS, PICU, SDU, PCU, IMC, OBS specialties required - Experience in case management and utilization review required - Regulatory experience with CMS required Description: This position involves working within the emergency department. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling, as there is a strict policy regarding tardiness and unexcused absences. Familiarity with the Pass Fail EKG exam is mandatory for all RNs, regardless of specialty. Responsibilities include discharge planning, needs assessment, ordering DME, and developing a plan of care. Candidates should have knowledge of CPT coding and billing, ICD 10 coding, as well as HEDIS measures. Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines, OSHA standards, and compliance with The Joint Commission is essential. The candidate will coordinate care and determine medical necessity following evidence-based guidelines. Candidates must be prepared to float to various locations if required.
