MCR (HR) Generalist

Reporting to the VP/GM for the region, the MCR (Member & Community Relations) Generalist supports the goals and vision of Fireside Hearth & Home by partnering with the region's business leaders in the areas of member relations, training/development, employment law & leave administration, talent acquisition, member engagement, and compensation & benefits to improve understanding of workforce needs and help demonstrate the impact the appropriate people solutions can have on business performance.

• Partners with members and management to advise on various policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.
• Conducts exit interviews and analyzes separation data to make basic recommendations to the management team for retention improvement.
• Partners with members and managers regarding performance management efforts: formal reviews, corrective actions, performance improvement, development plans, etc.
• Responds to member relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints and escalate as appropriate.
• Represents the company in unemployment claims.
• Facilitates and/or provides training (including orientation) to the workforce.
• Perform full cycle recruitment processes to fill primarily entry level positions, and some professional and technical vacancies through effective ATS practices and procedures.
• Support members and leaders through the coordination all member leave types. Including Medical, Personal, Worker's Comp, and Military leaves mandated by company policies and state and federal law.
• Maintain accurate HRIS and timekeeping systems (ADP, Kronos) and provide reporting as necessary.
  Skills and Abilities
  
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues.
  • Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using research and judgement that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Have a strong attention to detail in all work tasks.
  • Ability & Willingness to travel to other branches within the regions on occasion. Education & Experience
    
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or a related field required and 3-4 years of experience in Human Resources preferred.
      Or
      
      • 3-6 years' of a combination of education and demonstrated successful work experience in Human Resources field.
