Job Description (Posting)Job Description:Systems Programmer - z/OS:Experience in z/OS systems programming, and be responsible for z/OS systems programming, design, configuration, and support of a large enterprise-class z Series mainframe environment in a lab environment supporting Dev and test workload.Capable of installing/ upgrading ISV products. Should have sound knowledge of SMP/ E, JCLs, RACF, MVS concepts, JES, HCD, SDSF, Catalog Management, Mainframe Storage Administration, ISMF etc. Job Duties/ Roles and responsibilities:Managing the z/OS LPARS.Installation, RSU maintenance and implementation of the z/OS systems.Installation and administration of CICSInstallation, RSU maintenance, and problem resolution for ISV's or operating system support products using SMP/eRACF administration.Ongoing z/OS maintenance and support.DASD storage management and tools using DFSMSWorking on the MVS problems and incidents.Job Qualifications/ Desired skills:Solid knowledge of mainframe JCL and utilities.Experience working in a SYSPLEX environmentAbility to install, RSU maintenance and customize IBM software using SMP/E Hands on Experience in RACF - Security Administration Hands on Experience in Storage Administration using DFSMSGood to have experience in z/OS service pack installation, z/OS builds.Good to have experience in keeping the z/OS hardware configuration current using HCD.Good to have knowledge and hands on experience on z/VM and z/LinuxWorks independently with only administrative supervision on highly complex problemsPerforms work as a project team member for technical or operational projectsTeam Player with good interpersonal & communication skills (1.) To act as an SME and mentor the team to resolve very complex tickets. (2.) To lead the team for improvement in service level and perform root cause analysis on an ongoing basis. (3.) To prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure and risks for productorsupport mission or closure of escalations (4.) To develop and guide the team members in enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity (5.)
