Do it here.What you'll be doing... The Security Engineer is a
member of the Verizon Security PMO Operations team. This is a
technical resource for in-depth security device incident analysis
and emergency changes for customers. As a Security Engineer you
will develop an understanding of the specifics of the customer's
security architecture and will be serving as an escalation point to
our customers and other engineers for complex incidents or changes.
Security Engineers are experts in their fields, whether change
management, incident management, and security analytics. You will
be supporting the customer as an expert on security products and
services.Performing troubleshooting and diagnosis of complex
enterprise security device incidents supporting
escalations.Understanding and completing proposed architectural
(Design) changes that will impact the customers' business and be
able to articulate outcomes to technical and non-technical
team.Complete Major Upgrades in partnership with our peer
groupUnderstanding Change Management participation to include;
create/update/close change request in requisite change system,
design change and submit change form, or review submitted change
form and correct any deficiencies, stage or implement change and
troubleshoot failed changes.Using vendor provided tools, log files,
scripts, etc. to resolve complex incidents.Performing in-depth
research of assigned problems to identify the best resolution and
present information to customers and implement it.Troubleshooting
connectivity or routing issues pertaining to external access into
or out from the customer networkBuilding and analysis of monitoring
reportsGuest Wireless networking configuration, troubleshooting and
monitoringFollow all escalation and security proceduresProvide
analysis of logs from the logging serviceActively participate in
SWAT teams when issue definition is required between many
vendorsTimely status customers and management of issues via
established processesPerform regular surveillance of services;
observe ongoing operational and performance issues to identify,
define and resolve issuesInterpret management console messages,
research and perform required actionsKeep up-to-date on
technologies supported within the security teams, maintaining
familiarity with new technologiesEnsure that all issues are logged
utilizing troubleshooting ticketing procedureKeep customers
informed of changes or scheduled down times using corporate change
management proceduresMaintain a professional image at all timesBe
courteous and helpful to customersPerform additional duties
including project work and generating ad-hoc reports and event
summaries when requiredWhere you'll be working:In this hybrid role,
