Job Description Job Description $1,300 Weekly Average Pay | CDL-A Local Driver | Home Daily Oriole Transportation is seeking Class A CDL drivers for local dry and refrigerated freight routes. This role offers consistent home time, competitive pay, and supportive operations, ideal for drivers looking for predictable schedules and career growth. Pay & Compensation Average weekly pay: ~$1,300 (after 90-day ramp-up) Top-performing drivers can earn $1,500 per week Stop pay: $20 per stop Mileage-based pay with experience increases: 0–6 months: $0.56/mile 6–12 months: $0.57/mile 1–2 years: $0.58/mile 2–3 years: $0.59/mile 3–5 years: $0.60/mile 5–7 years: $0.61/mile 7–10 years: $0.62/mile 10 years: $0.63/mile Minimum mileage pay: Shorter routes paid according to mileage band Schedule & Home Time Home daily with consistent schedules 48-hour resets (same two days off each week) Shifts start between noon and midnight 5 days on, 2 days off, with weekends and holidays required Part-time option available: 11–29 hours per week, flexible Friday–Sunday shifts Job Details Freight: Dry and refrigerated no-touch, live-unload grocery freight Routes: Approximately 1,600–1,700 miles per week, typically 2 routes per day (11–14 hour shifts) Equipment: Slip-seat operation in newer model day cabs Customer Service: Prioritize safety, handle customer concerns professionally, and provide excellent service Vacation Eligibility 1 week after 1 year 2 weeks after 2 years 3 weeks after 7 years 4 weeks after 10 years Support & Benefits 24/7 operations and shop support Consistent home daily schedules Paid orientation and training Competitive pay with growth based on experience Driver Requirements Valid Class A CDL Personal transportation to and from the terminal required Able to work afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled Clean driving record and background Must pass a drug screen About Oriole Transportation Oriole Transportation is a driver-focused company committed to providing safe, consistent, and professional local driving opportunities.
