Systems Engineer (ITSM/Servicenow)

experience and capability implementing, maintaining and building
upon ServiceNow platform technologies, workflows and integrations
in controlled environments. You will need to be comfortable working
with and documenting evolving systems designs, able to initiate
efforts for continuous improvement or new functions that enable the
organization to achieve goals and understand time demands of new
projects and daily administration and can adapt between the two.

What We Want You To Do
- Responsible for core administration, implementation,
development and support of platform technologies with a critical
focus on ServiceNow/ IT Service Management solutions.
- Ensure overall performance, availability and fitness of
applications and environments essential for operations and service
delivery to Apptio employees and business partners.
- Implement, configure and maintain new and improved platform
functionality and systems to ensure continuous availability and
operational enablement with a focus on scalability, coordinate
Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing, tailor and extend
solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness through workflow
development and customization, write light scripts (basic
integration and coordinate advanced development with Application
- Analyze and transform business and user requirements into
actionable specifications, align deliverables and solutions with
strategic vision for technology, consult and advise
cross-functional teams on existing and forthcoming solutions, while
you perform platform administration, including data management,
security, integrity, release and update validation protocols, SOP
and guidance documentation.
- Work with Operations and cross-functional business users to
resolve technical concerns; triage and coordinate response to
performance and accessibility issues, incidents, system changes and
- Author and maintain clear and concise technical documentation
including application & infrastructure documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Computer Science,
Information Systems, or an equivalent technical field
- 5+ years experience working with the Servicenow platform
- Comfortable working with and documenting sophisticated and
evolving systems designs, able to initiate efforts for continuous
improvement or new functions that enable the organization to
achieve goals and understand time demands of new projects and daily
administration and can adapt between the two.
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, quick-thinking,
collaborative, open-mindedness, motivational, and team building)
and the ability to collaborate effectively across the team and the
- Scripting experience with light integrations a plus, as well as
demonstrated knowledge and applied understanding of ITIL concepts
and IT Service Management processes in complex environments with
significant customer impacts
- ITIL v3 or higher certification preferred
- Basic understanding of ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping) with a
desire to evolve that knowledge
- Basic familiarity with IntegrationHub enablement
- Additional certifications a plus (Certified Implementation
Specialist, Certified Application Developer, Certified Application
