The Grounds Crew/Operator (Part-Time), under the supervision of
the course superintendent, assistant superintendent, and foreman
performs work involving the use of hand tools, small engine
equipment, tractors, and other maintenance equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mow greens, fairways, tees boxes, and roughs.
- Provide sand trap maintenance if needed.
- May operate smaller equipment as directed by his/her
- Ensures that the equipment cooling system is working at all
times; refills fuel and oil daily; cleans equipment daily, and;
reports equipment problems or failures to Equipment Manager
- Provides basic preventive maintenance on equipment as directed
by the Equipment Manager.
- Uphold and abide by Campbell University policies and
procedures, including, but not limited to; Title IX and Information
Security, including, but not limited to FERPA and other state and

- High School Diploma/GED
- 1 to 2 years of experience preferred but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of safe, efficient mechanical operation of tractors
and other motorized equipment.
- Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy and discretion
in dealing with golfers, faculty, staff, students, and university
- Work independently as well as function effectively in a team
and within a diverse group of people.
