Description:-Ability to understand electrical schematics for medium and low voltage power applications,-Strong knowledge of electrical power design techniques and common power components-Experience with the design of electrical panels and electrical power systems-Ability to produce AC and DC electrical schematics, and panel mechanical layoutsExperience in design of most or all of the following: -Protection and Control panels, -Automation panels, -Breaker control panels, -Interposing relay panels-PLC panels-Marshalling and general electrical panels-Familiar with industrial control applications and control drawings-Hands on experience with AutoCad Electrical-Ability to guide CAD team in producing final drawings per your designs-Ability to manage multiple design projects, maintain schedules and cost, and interface with customers.-Experience in releasing designs to and interfacing with panel manufacturersExperience or exposure to the following:-Utility or Industrial substation design-Switchgear design-Generator control and protection-Process automation design-SCADA and power automation systems-Experience in panel testing, inspection and insuring panel shop qualityRoles and Responsibilities:-Supervise design team and delegate projects and task as appropriate to meet design schedules-Coach design team and work to improve their knowledge and experience with current practices-Define standards for vendor/part selection, CAD and design methods, and design processes.-Work with Project Management and Operations Manager to collectively define, schedule, and implement projects to successful completion.-Manage all electrical design aspects of projects and assume responsibility for meeting project commitments including design releases, schedules, and cost containment.-Interface with customer and be central point of contact for all projects requiring electrical design effort. -Produce and/or oversee design of electrical schematics, and panel mechanical layouts per customer specifications-Specify and/or review all final Bills of Materials-Oversee the Release of designs to customer for approval track customer markups and resolve customer changes-Release designs to and interfacing with panel manufacturers-Interface with buyer for material orders/issues-Provide panel inspection before shipment as required-Oversee release of final as-built drawingsSkills:Design Eng*, Electrical Eng*, SCADA, AutoCAD, Project Manag*, PLC, Panel*, Electrical Power Systems, Schematic*, Automation, Control App*, Switchgear Design*Additional Skills & Qualifications:Must Haves: -AutoCAD -Managerial or Lead experience -Project Management Like to Have: -Self starter -Exposure to working in small company; tight-knit environment.
