Application Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for the life
cycle planning of business applications through selection,
operation, refresh, migration, optimization, retirement, and
disposal. You'll manage applications that have specific
responsibilities for building or configuring, maintaining, or
enhancing, and eventually decommissioning applications through the
life cycle for Manufacturing and Distribution Centers.***Cary, NC
is preferred work location. Possible Alternative work locations
will be considered, i.e., Atlanta, GA, Memphis, TN***This position
reports toIS Service ManagerYour responsibilities
- Leadership and Management: Support and implement the ABB
leadership vision and direction of the Operations and Engineering
application team to ensure it will contribute to the company
achieving its goals
- Develop productive relationships with Operations leaders across
the organization to influence how applications can enable new
sources of value
- Ensure that applications processes (including those of external
service providers) are conducted in line with corporate social
responsibility, environmental and technical policies and applicable
standards and legislation
- Implement and manage application life cycle management status
reporting, metrics, and benchmarks.
- Provide support and facilitate innovative application work to
test new ideas with bounded cost and time frames
- Support the assessment of the technical and business fitness of
the application portfolio and their associated costs and risks.
Knowledgeable of End-to-End Warehousing Processes including
Receiving, Put away, Order Processing, Picking, Packing, Shipping,
Advance Shipping Notification (ASN), Purchase Order (PO)
Management, Sales Order (SO) Management, Wave management, Inventory
Management, Yard Management, RF Technologies, Automation
Technologies
- Experience in analysis and configuration of warehouse
management packages
- Supports the applications governance process to gain consensus
on a prioritized set of measurable business outcomes that
applications must support
- Build strong relationships with business and operational
leaders across the enterprise, developing a detailed understanding
of the issues, challenges, and opportunities that they face
- Establish and maintain relationships with staff across the
business, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational
priorities
- Overseeing support activities in conjunction with
infrastructure and operations to ensure the applications perform
well in production
- Supports complex program roadmaps, diverse stakeholders, and
inter-dependencies
- Supports and engage the team in the strategic vision for
Operations and Engineering applicationsYour background
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information
Systems or related is required with minimum 5 or more years of
experience as an IT Manager, IT Project Manager, Program Manager or
Agile Product Manager.
- Ability to build cross-organizational consensus with exposure
to technology providers and/or business colleagues is
required.
- Proven analytical and problem resolution skills with the
ability to assess complex issues with limited information.
- Ability to define and implement various warehouse and
manufacturing processes.
- Very strong collaboration skills are required with ability to
build strategic partner relationships with IT peers, functional
business teams and external customers.
- Experience in leading and delivering applications solutions or
experience in leading and delivering applications solutions for
warehouse and manufacturing business areas.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
with an exceptional focus on quality.
- Proven track record working in coordination with system
architecture teams.
- Ability to translate customer needs into technical
requirements.
- Self-directed, motivated, and able to work independently with a
strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
- Must be a committed and flexible team player.
- Ability to meet objectives by influencing and engaging across
multiple global, remote teams is required.
- Demonstrated experience managing a Blue Yonder (JDA) operations
team is a plus.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would
