Do it here.What you'll be doing... We are looking for a Decision
Scientist who is ready, willing and able to work on a portfolio of
innovative projects to enable digital operations excellence in the
Verizon Business Group (VBG) with Customer Operations. The program
direction includes artificial intelligence, operations automation,
and industry leading omni-channel technology to improve the
efficiency and client experience of our services. You will be using
critical thinking skills to analyze a global network operations
environment to transform data into actionable
intelligence.Responsibilities will include:
- Use expertise to ensure adoption of advanced data science
analytics across customer operations.
- Research, design, validate and implement operations initiatives
by translating results from data into actionable insights that help
drive business goals and improve operational performance.
- Develop and automate analytical reports for various business
units and stakeholders throughout the organization to enable
educated decision making.
- Regularly present and share findings with stakeholders to drive
action within the operations environment and market business
intelligence and analytics tools and strategies.
- Monitor and analyze key metrics and execute recurring analyses
and reporting.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams
and provide analytical support as necessary.
- Coordinate with other team members to understand and identify
the business problems and deliver the comprehensive analytical
solutions.Where you'll be working:
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that
includes work from home and assigned office days set by your
manager.What we're looking for... You'll need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer
Science, Statistics, Analytics, Industrial Engineer, or other
quantitative field or four or more years of work experience
- Three or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience programming in Python, Julia or R, and querying data
in SQL.
- Knowledge of data visualization/dashboard software (ideally
Looker or Tableau).Even better if you have one or more of the
following:
- A degree.
- Data modeling experience.
- Experience with Linux commands and Git version control.
- Experience with PySpark development.
- Experience with large and complex data sets.
- Machine learning and data-mining background.
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects with a strict
focus on detail.
- Strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated data analytics and critical thinking skills.If
