The candidate will work with application of change control processes and tools to create a strategy to a project or initiative. Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs. Is experienced with firewall operations, management processes and leading practices. Can review existing firewall rules for compliance, efficiency and accuracy. Has a strong understanding of IPv6.Location: Morrisville, North CarolinaResponsibilities & Requirements:Certification in one or more of; Windows, CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified, Networking Professional (CCNP), or Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE).Skilled Communicator - Facilitator; able to engage and interact with all organizational/cultural levels.Good communication skills in dealing with Telecommunications engineers and business ownersConsult with other members of project team and develop requirements documentationDemonstrable awareness of Splunk reporting (preferred).Demonstrable knowledge and engineering for Windows, Unix, and Cisco.Experience with network firewalls and rule configuration for Cisco devicesReview firewall rule sets and log analysis for inefficient, unapproved rulesResearch problems and recommend solutions to improve firewall securitySupport a nationwide implementation of firewalls (Validate, test, and manage firewall rules)Familiarity with network discovery toolsExperience with Change/Incident/Problem managementCollege Degree in a technical discipline3+ years of related operational experienceMust have at minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degreeThe position requires U.S. Person status or a Non-U.S. Person be eligible to obtain Authorization.Must be able to obtain a security clearanceDesired Skills:Complete change control assessmentsIdentify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tacticsIntegrate change control activities into project planDefine and measure success metrics and monitor change progressExperience and knowledge of change control principles, methodologies and toolsExceptional communication skills, both written and verbalExcellent active listening skillsAbility to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiencesAbility for problem solving and root cause identification skillsMust be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through othersRequired Education:Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Computer Science/Computer Engineering, Engineering, Science or a related field. Two years of related work experience may be substituted for each year of degree-level education. Desired Certifications:DOD 8570.1-M Compliance at IAT Level IIRequires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.Typically requires:A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.Engineering/Other Technical Positions:Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
