The SAS Environmental Sustainability program supports long term sustainability strategies, short term objectives and fosters the adoption of environmental initiatives within the company. The program is responsible for collecting data from operations globally, reporting environmental performance, ensuring compliance with current and emerging legislations, providing domain expertise, employee engagement activities and more.

As an intern, you might:

• 
  
• Facilitate collection and validation of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventory, measurements and analysis related to Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
  
• Use SAS solutions to analyze environmental, building system and smart sensor data and create reports to help optimize performance.
  
• Develop and analyze ESG reporting in support of SAS' net zero ambitions.

  • Targeted majors: Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, Sustainability, Climate Science, Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics
    
  • General understanding of corporate sustainability concepts
    
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel

          Pay Transparency: The hourly rate for SAS internships is determined by the applicant's year in school and the position they are hired into. Hourly rates range from $15 - $31 for associate's/bachelor's level positions and $29 - $49/hour for master's/Ph. D positions. Internship roles are not eligible for bonus.
