Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Develops and configures detailed solutions for moderately complex projects. 5-7 years of experience relevant to this position including 2 years consulting experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. The Principal Consultant is a senior consulting position which operates independently to provide quality work products to internal project teams and customers. They are a key member of the Services team developing, leading & consulting for project deliverables, HSGBU engagement work products and solutions for Cloud-based and on-premise projects *Responsibilities:* * Develop web/phone-based functionality for software utilized in clinical trials. * Coordinate with clinical services and validation teams throughout the entire SDLC. * Provide development user support and bug triage for the applications. * Work with clients to gather functional and technical requirements. * Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and resources. * Participate/lead technical training sessions. * Write detailed functional or technical specifications. * Ability to lead discussions with the customer and make formal presentations. * Work collaboratively in a global team. * Ability to lead meetings and influencing/negotiating decisions. * Ability to dive in and learn complex systems * Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment * Ability to provide technical leadership to the team * Perform other related duties assigned. *Education and Experience Required:* * B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science (or related). * 5-10 years' experience in a software development and/or technical consulting role. * Strong experience in Microsoft C# .NET or Java. * Experience working with relational databases, such as SQL Server or Oracle & PL/SQL. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Development experience with web-based & Cloud applications. * Ability to deliver within strict project deadlines. * Solid problem-solving skills and strong personal drive. * Solid work ethic and excellent time management skills. * Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate in a professional manner with clients and internal staff *Nice to have:* * Work experience in a regulated industry such as life science/healthcare. * Consulting experience. * Developing prototype functionality to demonstrate and present design options. * Experience in Java, JavaScript, OJET, jQuery and Tomcat. * Experience on OAuth Concepts, Java Persistence API and developing REST APIs using JERSEY. * DevOps experience (Chef, Puppet, GIT, Jenkins, Maven, Terraform). * Data and Application Integration experience **Job:** **Consulting* **Organization:** **Oracle* **Title:** *Principal Technical Consultant* **Location:** *United States* **Requisition ID:** *210004LD*
