The Business Systems Analyst is needed to support Xerox's Global Supply Chain & Manufacturing. The primary focus is on Supply Chain and Logistics. Then there are two secondary areas: the support of the order entry systems and Manufacturing. This role will be working with the business and the technology areas as a trusted advisor to gather requirements for development, write user stories, define system and process solutions, analyze data, manages projects/changes for enhancements and new project work. The role holder will analyze, validate and document the business and system requirements, and make recommendations balancing need, affordability, speed and IT strategy. This role also supports the analysis and resolution of complex production issues. The role holder is a key facilitator within the IT organization, acting as a bridge between the business and the IT groups, and is accountable for a technology solution that supports the business request or opportunity and is based on the enterprise architecture. Primary Responsibilities: Gather business requirements, define user stories, translate business needs to solution directions, provide guidance to developers, translate technical issues and options to the business stakeholders, manage stakeholders, ensure acceptance of the solution across stakeholders, prepare, manage and execute testing and implementation. Design, modify and create business processes that will be used to implement business transformation solutions, and will become the company expert in this area of our business. This is done through research and fact-finding combined with a good understanding of applicable business processes, systems, and industry requirements. Estimates and executes activities in support of project and enhancement work. Adheres to the established processes and requirements management methodology and practices, while carrying out their responsibilities. This includes meeting established quality standards. Applies available standards, methods and tools in an intelligent and effective way, and produces a consistently high standard of documentation of both a technical and a descriptive nature. Plans, arranges and controls meetings, workshops and relations with client/user staff during system investigations and throughout subsequent development work. Takes responsibility at a high level for the proper conduct of such relations. Defines, plans and justifies (in business terms) projects to develop/implement automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes. Support (complex) issue resolution in production when necessary across systems and technical and business stakeholders Is aware of risks associated with requested changes on other dependent systems / data which means good understanding the surrounding systems and dependencies. Demonstrates clear leadership skills and the ability to influence and persuade Additional Skills and Knowledge Requirements: Experience with Supply Chain systems, especially Oracle EBS (E-Business Suite) and SAP Experience with business processes in Supply Chain and preferably Manufacturing Experience with complex system integrations Experience with both waterfall and agile software delivery lifecycles Result oriented team player who can work with little guidance Can absorb complex technical information and communicate effectively at all levels to both technical and non-technical audiences Experience with change management Education/Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Physics, or other related field preferred. Or equivalent work experience. Minimum of five (5) years experience in defining requirements for IT application in Supply Chain in a complex fast paced environment Broad knowledge and understanding of IT concepts. Experience ensuring practices and processes within new developments are compliant with current and emerging standards.
