As a core member of the HR (Human Resource) team in Compensation and Benefits, in Global Business Services and HR Operational Services, you will deliver HR service assistance to the HR community, business managers and employees. You will process complex and escalated HR requests related to Compensation and Benefits service lines for an assigned group of employees. Reporting to the HR Delivery Manager, you will be supporting the Human Resources (HR) function in the implementation and delivery of compensation programs and processes within a shared service environment at ABB.

Your responsibilities

Supports the creation of individual and systemic benchmarking processes and compensation analyses to ensure compensation competitiveness in the job market
Supports annual processes such as merit and short term incentive processes. Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure data and system readiness to deliver such processes
Evaluate compensation shared service process effectiveness, identify and recommend process improvements, and oversee execution
Support the development and modeling of salary ranges
Perform Job Evaluations as needed for assigned groups, including Global Grading. Ensure Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) compliance
Develop compensation metrics, reports and tools to inform compensation program decisions and analyze business outcomes
Perform periodic analyses to maintain the integrity and compliance of compensation programs
Partner with HR Business Partners to provide appropriate guidance regarding pay decisions and the interpretation of policies and guidelines
Participate in annual compensation surveys
Ensure compensation data is maintained correctly in ABB systems
Create materials to effectively communicate compensation programs, policies and practices to employees and leaders

Your background

Bachelors Degree and minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation OR;
Masters Degree and minimum of 3 years of experience in compensation
Excellent analytical and mathematics skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including advanced Excel skills, significant experience working with HR technology, data and reporting
Familiar with current concepts, laws and practices in compensation administration
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Must be results oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Experience with Hay job evaluation methodology
Experience with Workday
