The primary duty is to monitor the site water services.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:--- Monitor the water services as part of the Legionella control program.--- Inspect and monitor the temperature testing of water outlets, TMV s, cold water storage tanks, and hot water storage vessels.--- Maintain water system disinfection work.--- Maintain logs for testing and inspection.--- Collect and analyze water samples.--- Servicing and testing of the chemical water treatment systems.--- Highly safety conscious to work in the following environments: extreme temperatures, steam, loud noise, heights, and potential legionella exposure.--- Proficient with lockout/tagout processes, hazard precautions and personal protective equipment requirements.--- Ensure all work is performed in accordance manufacturer, industry and established company procedures.--- Report findings, concerns and deficiencies.--- Become an Authorized Receiver to process permit to work forms for non-routine work.--- Prepare Job Safety Analysis and assist with Risk Assessments.--- Provide support during facility shut down times.--- Complete all GSK & CBRE required safety training in a timely manner.--- Participate in the Zero Accident Program.--- Available to be on a rotating call schedule for nights and weekends--- Other duties assigned by the Operations & Maintenance SupervisorSupervisory Responsibilities:No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGEAbility to calculate simple figures such as percentages.REASONING ABILITYAbility to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIESUses personal computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, ESS and training. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITYDecisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
