Job SummaryRandstad Engineering is conducting a nationwide, professional search for a Systems Engineer for a direct hire opportunity with one of our aerospace client's in Cary NC. The Systems Engineer is responsible for leading and championing the systems activities required to support the electromechinal systems group from architectural development to certification and maintenance of fielded product. This position will work closely with safety, mechincal hardware, electrical hardware, software, verification, and manufacturing engineering teams during the product lifecycle.   • Develops technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingeniuty and creativity
  • Perform responsibilities as both an individual contributor and as project leader
    • As an individual contributor the focus is on execution of programs and problem solving
    • As a project leader the focus is on planning and execution by the project team
    • Work with general direction; independently determines and develops solutions
      • Drive innovative solutions to complex problems
      • Drives the completion of projects and technical assignments
        • Frequent inter-organizational and outside costumer contact
        • Leadership of high complexity projects, or multiple projects of various complexity and technical challenges
        • Serves as technical front of the orgnaization and fosters development of less experienced team members
        • Drive the timely and effective completion of all assigned team and individual goals
        • Develop and ensure full traceability of customer specification requirememts to systems and subsystems requirements
        • Follow Airborne Systems guidelines per ARP-4754 as well as internal processes and procedures
        • Responsibilities include:
          • Systems requirement ownership
          • Development and implementation of systems and systems test platforms
          • Specification of test equipment
          • Validation/verification procedures
          • Full lifecycle systems engineering
            • Develop system requirements from customer requirements
            • Develop simulations to understand and validate complex electro-mechinal systems
            • Perform analysis of requirements, design, and code to assure compliance to standards and guidelines
            • Contribute to the generation of new business through proposal responses
            • Perform other duties as assigned, directedQualifications
              • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, required
                • Related degree disciplines include: Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Computer/Software
                • Preferred not required: Graduate Degree in one of the Engineering disciplines outlined above
                • Required: 5+ years relevant industry experience
                • Preferred: 8+ years of experience in systems development, test, and integration in a safety critical industry
                • Experience as follows:
                  • Embedded electronic, mechanical, and software control systems
                  • Model Based Systems Engineering fundamentals and practical application
                  • Process driven development
                  • Led at least one (1) project as System Lead with full product life cycle completed
                  • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements, identify, and implement best practices
                  • Significant development and administration experience with AWS
                  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written;
                    • Demonstrated ability both internally with senior leaders and all levle of key stakeholders as well as externally with customers and suppliers
                    • Equally adept at working within a team and independently
                      • Ability to work in team environment, cultivate strong relationships and to develop skills in other team members
                      • Proven ability to plan and effectively manage personal/team workload
                      • Advanced technical aptitude, analytical, and complex engineering problem-solving capabilities
                      • Ability to develop requirements that drive effective system architectures/designs while supporting verifiability
                      • Ability to apply proper configuration management to requirements through all phases of development process
                      • Experience developing in safety critical regulated industries (aerospace, medical, automotive
                      • Experience with system modeling tools (MATLAB/Simulink) and requirements management tools (Doors, DNG, JAMA, etc.)
                      • Experience with fully developing systems related artifacts at the system and LRU level
                      • SEMP, TDD, SRS, CRS, ICD, SRTM, SCI, Compliance Matrices, Validation.Verification Matrices, Trade Studies, System Verification, System SummaryQualifications
                        • Experience level: Experienced
                        • Minimum 3 years of experience
                        • Education: Bachelors (required)Skills
