Job Title: Principal Security Architect - Endpoint Protection

Job Location - Hybrid or Remote: Cary, NC

Role Value Proposition:

As a Principal Security Architect in Endpoint Protection as part of Global Security Technologies you will be a senior member and leader providing technical expertise and security architecture services for technology projects around the globe. You will have the opportunity to drive new security technologies and you will have the responsibility to define architectural patterns with security, resilience, and performance in mind.

The Principal Security Architect must have deep subject matter expertise in at least one primary architectural domain, with extensive experience and knowledge across modern IT technologies. A successful candidate must have demonstrated experience in defining robust architectural patterns, as well as the ability to document and communicate them to ensure adoption.

This role also must lead and mentor other engineers in support of the domain areas they represent within Endpoint Protection Technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership
  • Lead the implementation, support, and development of endpoint security solutions to enhance MetLife's security posture.
  • Provide expert engineering and operational support for MetLife's endpoint protection needs. This includes assisting with the implementation and support of emerging information security products.
  • Execute milestone planning, deployment coordination, implementation guidance, architectural review, of new and existing security technologies.
  • Provide multi year roadmaps for the endpoint protection technology stack.
  • Lead other Security teams and external partners globally in architecting, engineering and supporting endpoint security solutions that align with organizational and strategic goals.
  • Manage endpoint security product life cycle from vendor management roadmap and QBR, change management, user training, milestone planning, and deployment coordination. Relationship Management
    • Mentor junior and senior security engineers on the endpoint protection team.
    • Motivate team with appropriate coaching, feedback, and recognition.
    • Consults with stakeholders in developing action plans to resolve control issues or security gaps.
    • Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders.
    • Partners with stakeholders to develop criteria and standards in which to measure associate performance.
      Business Experience and Technical Skills

      • 10+ years' experience in Security Engineering or Architecture and deep subject matter expertise in endpoint or network security
      • 4+ years of experience with security architecture including hands-on knowledge of Network Segmentation, Anti Malware, zero trust, DLP, Vulnerability Scanning, Cloud Security, patching etc.
      • 4+ years knowledge with Cloud Computing platforms
      • Demonstrated expertise in security, operational, and resiliency architecture principles
        • Demonstrated influencing and negotiating skills
        • Strong Software Development Life Cycle knowledge and experience, particularly Agile and DevOps
        • Demonstrated business acumen especially in insurance and financial industries and systems
        • Experience delivering global programs/strategies to diverse business and IT teams
        • Must be an intelligent, articulate, and influential leader who can effectively communicate technology-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff
        • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to apply analysis to actionable insights
        • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field

          The wage range for this position specific to Colorado is $130,000 to $151,400 base. You may be also eligible for the MetLife Annual Variable Incentive Plan ("AVIP").
