#IAmMerzWe are seeking an experienced professional who will serve
as the Senior Data Analyst in our growing Commercial Analytics &
Sales Operations team, which is responsible for deploying and
supporting analytics tools, data management, discovering and
providing data insights, analytical support, business
understanding, and a strategic perspective in improving the
decision making process within the commercial organizations.
Working in a matrix environment with other shared services
functions (IT, HR, Finance, etc.), this position serves as a
Commercial Analytics data expert working closely with sales,
marketing, and market access. The primary function for this
position is to provide business intelligence and data analysis
support, execute sophisticated quantitative analysis, and develop
advanced modeling that translates data into actionable insights for
our team.Major Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct ad-hoc and routine analysis on targeting, product
sales, and promotional activity with appropriate communication to
internal staff and sales. Evaluate and communicate key trends for
sales and marketing. Triage and solve reporting and analytics
questions as they arrive from stakeholders.
- Design and develop sales reporting and data management tools
for field that can be scaled, repeated, and replicated.Prepare,
validate, and distribute ad hoc reports and analysis as requested
by management.Provide quantitative rationality/recommendations to
management team for evaluation of field sales specific
activities.
- Collaborate with various departments (Marketing, Finance, and
IT) in building a robust solution for company growing needs.
- Conduct data analysis in support of a variety of analytic
solutions. Ensure compliance with deliverable reporting
requirements by performing data quality audits and analysis
- Capture, develop, and document data definitions, business
rules, and data quality requirements. Perform Quality Checks and
implement controls for Sales and Marketing data
- Interpret data, build SQL queries to analyze results, and
provide insights to determine operational impact, trends, and
opportunities
- Develop workflow automation, efficiencies and implement process
improvements in SQL / Tableau reporting
- Lead KPI definitions effort in partnership with various
functional and operational leaders. Document and manage KPI
definitions.Build automated enterprise KPI dashboards and support
data & metrics delivery to leadership.
- Ensure that all projects are completed in a timely manner and
within budget, performing any additional duties as
required/assigned by supervisor.Education Bachelor's Degree in
Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or Analytics.
Required. Professional experienceMinimum 5 years of analytics
experience in either pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical device, or
managed care industries, with particular focus on roles within
commercial operations, finance, or marketing. Required.Skills and
Abilities Needed to be Successful:
- Advanced Excel (formulas, pivot table, charts, macros,
etc.)
- Strong database management skills (SQL Server/VBA)
- Ability to positively contribute individually and in team
settings
- Strong understanding of ELT/ETL, and workflow automation.
- Self-motivated and creative thinker
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and cognitive skills
- Ability to meet critical deadlines and multi-task.
- Comfort using all primary components of MS Office, Tableau
- Experience with large databases, conducting complex
analysis
- Demonstrated ability to think and work with a proactive
mindset
- A self-motivated personality with a passion for working in a
fast-paced environment
